Gregg Hymowitz – Trustee, Hymowitz Children’s Education Foundation

Cogentrix Energy is a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs involved in power projects.  It has been steadily moving over to clean energy, renewable energy and more efficient ways of power generation.  Recent news from the subsidiary was its work with Public Service Company of Colorado, an Xcel Energy company, to build a solar generating project in south Colorado which is set to be “the largest facility of its type in the world.”  This should be completed by the second quarter of 2012.  In 1992, Gregg Hymowitz was Vice President of Goldman, Sachs & Co.
